GlobalTouch Telecom to Present Conference Session at INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO East 2007 |
|
Mr. Maloff will describe the components of current Peer-to-Peer (P2P) VoIP telephony, and delineate the potential risks and exposures. His presentation will also illustrate a new approach to IP telephony that incorporates elements of SIP Peer-to-Peer in a more secure and effective fashion than the technical models used by others. Just as computers and the Internet started as tools for the research communities or for recreational use and then grew into powerful indispensable business tools, so too will peer-to-peer telephony — but only after it has been “hardened” for delivery by professional organizations. INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO, held January 23 - 26, 2007, is the world’s largest and best-attended IP Communications trade show. Last September, the show drew over 8,000 buyers and sellers of IP Communications products and services to San Diego, California. For this upcoming January show, TMC projects total attendance to exceed 9,000. “I am excited to have this opportunity to speak about the future direction of P2P VoIP technology, “said Joel Maloff, Vice President, Products at GlobalTouch Telecom. “Recent analyst reports have predicted that the VoIP industry is expected to grow as much as 400% in the next two years, and we believe that P2P technology will be the leading application driving this growth, creating a more secure and effective approach to VoIP. As GlobalTouch Telecom is positioned at the forefront of this recent trend, I believe I can share some insights, which will spur discussion among the industry leaders in attendance.” GlobalTouch Telecom’s award winning ASP VoIP Solution provides organizations the means with which to enter and operate in any size VoIP market; scalable from a few thousand residential or enterprise seats to millions of customers around the world. This affordable, fully-integrated, ASP platform delivers a comprehensive suite of services which include both Residential and IP-PBX offerings, SIP Fax, softphone, conferencing, and all network services (DIDs, CRM, Billing, LNP, 911) and termination to any telephone in the world. It enables Carriers, Resellers, PTTs, MSOs and ISPs to launch a private-labeled VoIP business in less than 60 days. “We are very pleased that Joel will be participating in this year’s show. GlobalTouch Telecom is widely recognized and respected as an industry leader, and I am confident that our attendees will appreciate and value the opportunity to hear his perspective on the future direction of VoIP,” said TMC president and conference chairman, Rich Tehrani. “Over the past twelve months, widespread deployment of IP Communications services by global service providers, businesses and governments has reinforced that this exciting technology is a viable, cost-effective communications solution. As a result, we are seeing a significant number of senior-level executives attending INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO as a means of learning about the technology so they too can take advantage of its benefits.” Registration for the show is now open.
