CosmoCom and SIP Trunking service provider BandTel announced a partnership this week to offer a combined, all-IP unified customer communications platform.
BandTel's CEO Chris Dunk, who spoke in a session at ITEXPO called "All aboard the IP train, commented on the announcement: "CosmoCom's open, standards-based platform is a model for an industry often hampered by proprietary variations. It made interoperability testing remarkably quick and easy. Together, we offer a flexible, dependable, and cost-effective solution to enterprises for migrating their contact center to IP with minimum pain and maximum gain,"
According to a report by TMCnet's Johanne Torres, "With CosmoCom and BandTel joining forces, enterprises will be able to deploy CosmoCom's technology on their premises with BandTel's SIP trunks."
Also this week, BandTel announced that TalkSwitch telephone systems are now fully interoperable with their SIP Trunking architecture.
With this availability, customers are given the opportunity to choose toll-quality VoIP dialing plans from BandTel, while connecting via a TalkSwitch telephone system at their office.
Torres reported, "With the BandTel/TalkSwitch system in place, customers should be able to reduce their telecom charges and gain access to enhanced network services. TalkSwitch’s systems hybrid capabilities enable customers to keep their connections to the traditional telephone network without having to acquire additional equipment."
ABP Technology demonstrated their SIP-based IP PBX Solution, the Mid-Market SIP IPBX 50-500 Extension System, during ITEXPO this week.
TMCnet's Patrick Barnard wrote, "The solution combines the power and flexibility of the Audiocodes Mediant 1000 gateway and the advanced features of pbxnsip, a leading SIP-based IP PBX software platform."
With this, the solution has the ability to deliver quality voice and other features including VoIP security and advanced routing and signaling capabilities.

TMCnet's Anuradha Shukla wrote, "Based on SIP and H.264 standard, the Grandstream GXV-3000 is an advanced IP video phone, which is competitively priced and easy to use. The GXV boasts a combination of sleek design and technology features with excellent picture quality, ease of deployment and broad interoperability with 3rd party SIP products."
News from Digium this week was that they are partnering with Polycom, to help them keep a strong foothold in the SMB space.
"The new, integrated system features the Digium AsteriskNOW software appliance and Polycom SoundPoint IP desktop phones—all components which the companies say are needed for businesses to deploy a "high quality VoIP solution." TMCnet's Johanne Torres reported.
Altitude Software also announced this week the availability of Altitude uCI 7.5, the latest release of the contact center suite.
