GlobalTouch Has a New Strategy Chief

Hosted VoIP provider GlobalTouch Telecom Inc. has promoted Joel Maloff to senior vice president of corporate strategies.

Maloff previously held the position of vice president of products.

Maloff will retain responsibility for product development but will now head up in-depth market analysis and vertical industry efforts, and will represent GlobalTouch at conferences and in the media.

He will also continue to report directly to CEO Gregory Welch and will act as an adviser on technical and strategic issues.

"Given my more than 30 years in telecommunications and Internet, I truly recognize GlobalTouch as having an opportunity to create a new paradigm for the delivery of VoIP and enhanced Internet-based communications services," Maloff said.
